Summary Seven moves into offices in the Old Fire Station in Münster
Following the successful relaunch of the company’s website in the fall of 2021, a change of scenery was also recently on the agenda for the Summary Seven team. In March, we were able to move into the newly renovated offices in the Old Fire Station (Bernhard-Ernst-Straße 12) in Münster’s harbor – a building with charm and an eventful history.
From 1928 to 1930, the new fire station was built according to the plans of the then municipal architect Sittel. A special feature of the station was the slide shafts and slide bars that led from all the rest rooms into the alarm hall. In the press, it was even considered the most modern fire station in Germany. Until 1970, it was the only station of the professional fire department in Münster, before the new domicile of the fire station at Grevener Straße/Yorkring was completed in 1970. In 1999, there were plans to renovate the Old Fire Station, which was in urgent need of refurbishment, but these were stopped in 2001. In 2009, Coppenrath Publishing House moved into the landmarked building, including a showroom among other things.
To this day, details in the exterior façade and the large entrance doors are reminders of times gone by. Thus, even makeshift bomb damage was later deliberately left as it was to preserve the character and history of the building despite its state-of-the-art interior design by design studio and general tenant donnerblitz design. The renovated office space is located close to the waterfront, home to a myriad of creative agencies and Münster’s start-up hub, thus the perfect environment for Summary Seven and our innovative projects.
